Lynn Black is the President of Lynn Black Education Solutions, LLC and transforms schools from the Inside Out working with school and teacher leaders within each organization. He has served for two plus years as the Fiscal Analyst for the Office of Charter Schools at Ball State University. From 2008 – 2012, he served as the Head of School for K12’s Indiana hybrid and virtual schools known as Hoosier Academy. While in this role, he launched three hybrid charter schools and a statewide virtual school. He has worked in K-12 education for his entire career, including roles as a change agent, teacher, principal, director, assistant superintendent and Head of Schools/Superintendent. Mr. Black’s areas of expertise include leadership and school board development, professional development for teachers and faculty, curriculum development, and educational strategic planning. In 2001, he began his involvement in Indiana’s charter school movement with his work as an evaluator for charter school proposals. Mr. Black received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University and his Master’s degree from Butler University.
