Fight for Life Foundation Launches Free Counseling Program for Indianapolis Teachers

November 25, 2025

The Fight for Life Foundation, with a $20,000 grant from the Indianapolis Colts’ Kicking the Stigma initiative, has launched a program to offer free mental health counseling to nearly 50 educators in Indianapolis.

This initiative, in partnership with Ellie Mental Health and Growth & New Horizons, provides 46 educators with 10 counseling sessions each, at no cost to them or their schools. The program is designed to support educators from four schools currently implementing the Fight for Life Foundation’s Building Dreams Program.

“It’s all about pouring into our educators that work with our students on a day-to-day basis,” Marlin Jackson said, former Colts star and founder of Fight for Life Foundation. “The Colts’ contribution helped us launch this initiative to support nearly 50 educators through their generous grant.”

Educators participating in the program can choose their provider and counselor, and decide whether their sessions are in-person or virtual, allowing for personalized and flexible care. This initiative aims to address the mental health needs of educators, who often put their own well-being on the back burner while focusing on their students.
