Building Dreams Program Evaluation and Logic Model
January 20, 2026
Building Dreams has a rich foundation of internal data and strong anecdotal evidence of success. To build on this foundation, FFLF commissioned an external evaluation to understand how Building Dreams is being implemented and where it is making the greatest impact.
EVALUATION GOALS Were To:
Explore how school staff use Building Dreams and identify factors that support or hinder effective implementation
Examine early impacts on school staff and students who engage with the platform
Identify opportunities for improving school staff and student engagement and overall impact To meet these goals, the evaluation employed several strategies
Reviewed existing administrative data from the Building Dreams platform to understand patterns of use and preliminary impact
Implemented a school staff survey and conducted follow-up conversations to gather first-hand insights on platform use, functionality, perceived impact, and areas for improvement
Engaged FFLF staff and board members to deepen understanding of implementation practices, lessons learned, data use, and priorities for future program refinement
One of the most impactful tools created from this evaluation was the program Logic Model, a visual roadmap of the Building Dreams program, illustrating how its resources and activities are designed to generate a progression of outcomes for both students and school staff.
