September reflected strong and sustained engagement across all current Building Dreams sites, with students and educators continuing to use the platform to reinforce positive behavior, monitor student well-being, and connect students with timely support.
Across participating sites, educators documented an impressive 24,666 First Downs during the month. Each First Down represents a moment when a student was recognized for demonstrating behavior connected to a school’s core values. This level of recognition shows that Building Dreams is becoming embedded in everyday school culture—not simply as a tracking tool, but as a consistent way for educators to notice, reinforce, and celebrate positive student choices.
Student voice and emotional awareness also remained an important part of engagement. Students completed 7,134 Check-Ins, creating thousands of opportunities for them to identify their moods and stress levels as they arrived at school. Beyond those daily touchpoints, 555 Emotional Explorations were documented, representing instances when students went deeper into what they were feeling and identified healthy next steps. Together, these interactions demonstrate how Building Dreams is helping schools create routines around emotional awareness and proactive student support.
Positive reinforcement extended beyond First Downs as well. 2,259 Extra Points were documented by educators and students to recognize above-and-beyond behavior. These moments further strengthen a culture in which positive actions are intentionally acknowledged and students have opportunities to recognize the contributions of others.
September also demonstrated the platform’s role in helping schools move from identifying concerns to providing support. Through the Concerning Response Queue, 813 support cases were closed, representing student incidents in which administrators and support staff were alerted and intervention or follow-up was provided. This is an important measure of engagement because it demonstrates that student needs identified through Building Dreams are leading to action.
Altogether, September generated 35,427 documented engagement and support actions across these five measures. The month’s data tells a broader story than usage alone: Building Dreams sites are creating environments where positive behavior is recognized, student emotions are heard, exceptional actions are celebrated, and concerns can lead to timely intervention.
As the school year continues, September provides a strong foundation for evaluating how these practices grow across sites and how consistent engagement with Building Dreams contributes to stronger school culture and student success.
