Fight for Life Research Paper Wins Best Paper Award On International Stage

The Fight for Life Foundation research team had the honor to compete in the best regional paper competition at the Decision Sciences Institute conference 2022. Representing the best paper selected at Midwest DSI 2022 earlier this year, we presented our work alongside all other US regions and one from Europe.

Thank you to the judges, Natalie Simpson, David Dobrzykowski, and Joy Field, for providing critical feedback and creating a wonderful forum for all the participants. Receiving the top honor in this competition is an incredible conclusion to a project that will have a long-lasting impact for the Fight for Life Foundation. Results from this work will help drive decisions to help mitigate absenteeism. This was only possible through the use of the Building Dreams platform and the leadership of Dr. Francis Bowen, and the support from Marlin Jackson, Lisa Mitchell, CFI, Carolyn Gentle-Genitty, PhD, Janaina Siegler, and Nathan Lashbrook, CPA, MBA.

We would also like to acknowledge the other talented students who have either continued this work or established new research based on it. Alex Skinner, Chris Stein, and Abby Stock, have all made impactful contributions related to this initial project.
