FFL’s Top 5 Moments of 2016

With each new year comes a reflection of the last. We’re rounding up our Top 5 Moments of 2016 and sharing the ways that we’ve impacted our community. We can’t wait to make even bigger strides in helping kids achieve their dreams in 2017!

#5: Partnering with Magnitude to rebuild and launch our website, fightforlifefoundation.org.

We gave our website a facelift in order to show you our programs in the best way possible, and we couldn’t have done it without their creative minds and abilities. Check back often for more news posts, articles, photos and videos!

#4: Partnering with Salesforce’s “Coding for Kindness” to continue advancing Fight For Life’s technological capibilities

Salesforce has played a pivitol role in the way we’re able to share our messages online and the way we can interact with our schools, sponsors, and kids. Coding4Kindness helps nonprofit organizations with technical needs regarding websites and communication systems through a day long “hackathon.”

#3: Implementing our #BuildingDreams pilot program with Indianapolis Public Schools 19!

We’ve been able to see tremendous growth in the students as they learn about values not traditionally taught in the classroom like respect, work-readiness, and financial literacy. In 2017, our hope is to expand to even more students within IPS!

#2: Successfully serving over 800 scholars through our #BeABlessing program!

Through our Christmas parties at George and Veronica Phalen Leadership Academies and our field trip with Musser Elementary School, we brought toys, laughter, games, and were thankful to truly bless them this Christmas thanks to the help of our donors and sponsors. There’s nothing better than seeing 800 smiling faces! Click here to find out more about our Be A Blessing program.

#1: Partnering with Saturday Evening Post‘s Jack and Jill Magazine for the coming year!

We can’t wait for our #BuildingDreams program to be featured in Saturday Evening Post’s “Jack and Jill” Magazine in 2017 – including some fun tips, photos, and activities for kids based on our social and emotional learning tools.
