Building Dreams is a behavioral health Software as a Service (SaaS) technology that is an evidence-based Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS). The program normalizes for students the idea of caring for their mental and emotional wellbeing the same way people care for their physical health. By helping students connect behavioral symptoms to the underlying condition of their wellbeing, we strengthen the coping mechanisms that are central to their academic success and protective of their mental and emotional health.
With the student at the center, Building Dreams connects all school stakeholders to students’ behavioral, safety and well-being information, fostering a supportive educational environment.

Building Dreams Success Stories
A pilot program at four schools indicated the SEL program, coupled with the Building Dreams platform, improved class participation and behavior, which resulted in positive trends of attendance-related data.
Case Study Findings
Following the successful launch of the pilot program during the 2020-2021 academic school year, 13,381 student observations were collected across four schools, and analyzed to reveal the positive impact of the SEL program. We observed the following results:
An average ten-fold increase in reports of Students entering class appropriately
An 11% increase in reports of students reporting to class prepared to learn
A 36% decrease of students being reported as not attending school
And an average decrease of 57% in reports of students being out of their seat without permission.
These insights were noted when comparing the reported behaviors from Fall 2002 and Spring 2021 at a classroom level. Within these classes, there was an average per student increase of:
155% enter class appropriately
19% increase in students who reported to class prepared to learn
A 48% decrease in reports of those not attending school
And a 50% decrease in reports of those being out of their seats without permission.
These trends, at both the classroom and student levels, provide empirical evidence of the effectiveness of the implemented program.
Attendance-related behavior changes from Fall 2020 to Spring 2021
“Developing self awareness and self management is a skill our students definitely need. This generation doesn’t want to be told how or what to do, so if you learn to manage yourself, it will make your life process a little easier. This program started them thinking.”

“Anna was absolutely great when we received our training on Building Dreams. She was excited about her work and very engaging. It was easy to tell she truly believes in this program and the work they are doing. She is committed to bettering the program to meet the needs of those using it. I really feel like she would do anything in her power to solve a problem if it was brought to her. She really seems to listen to feedback and absorb what people are saying they need. I think she has made positive progressive in the program.”

“Marlin was extremely personable when he came for our training. He was very down to earth and willing to hear feedback. He took extra time to help teachers who were confused learn to navigate the website. He was not defensive about feedback when people had it and agreed there is a lot of room for the program to grow and develop.”
