Inspired by justice and equity, Reed is an independent marketing and communications consultant with more than 20 years of experience in the public relations and marketing fields, including strategic communications, messaging, brand development, project management, scripting, media relations, external communications, advertising, writing, media coaching, targeted event planning/support, and more. She works with several organizations across Indianapolis and has led the growth of several marketing and communications efforts.

By leveraging genuine storytelling, Chelsea humanizes brands, inspires hope, and transforms abstract concepts into relatable, compelling messages. She’s organized, quick on her feet, and a creative problem solver. Her effort has consistently transformed and expanded marketing and communications for several organizations in Indianapolis. However, her reach also extends beyond the city, including USA Today, NBC Nightly News, The 74, New York Times, NPR, Yahoo! News, Urban One (Radio One), Chalkbeat, and more. Her work has even garnered a Great Lakes Regional Emmy® Awards nomination for a reporter she partnered with. Chelsea has held several communications positions in various fields of work ranging from education, health, advocacy, diversity, equity, and inclusion, arts and entertainment, faith-based, and more.

Reed earned her bachelor’s degree from Franklin College with a double major in

news-editorial and public relations & advertising with minor in marketing for not for profit organizations. She is married to her high school sweetheart, and together they have a talented, brave, thoughtful and energetic son, who asks the best questions!
