Joi McCrary has built a career at the intersection of business strategy, nonprofit development, and the power of a well-written word. An intentional, impact-focused entrepreneur, consultant, and writer, she has made it her mission to help organizations and individuals show up, compete, and win.

Born, raised, and based in Indianapolis, IN, Joi is an academic honors graduate of North Central High School and a two-time college graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University carrying an MBA and Masters in HR. A lifetime learner and purpose-driven professional, she enjoys earning various certifications and attending professional development seminars.

Joi is the founder and owner of two small firms: ResumeMe, a professional writing service and consulting firm serving career professionals, businesses, nonprofits, and project teams; and Grants With Joi, a sharp, results-oriented grant writing and nonprofit consulting practice helping organizations build and compete in the grant market. Through Grants With Joi, Joi has secured funding for organizations both large and small, developed visionary grant strategies, and guided nonprofits through every stage of the funding process—from grant readiness to award. Her resourceful approach spans local and national funders, and her track record reflects a deep commitment to helping mission-driven organizations access the resources they need to grow and sustain their work.

Through her work, Joi has served organizations and missions across the United States—with a special place in her heart for the city that made her, Indianapolis. Outside of her work and learning endeavors, she is a wife and mother who enjoys family time, DIY/home projects, community service, and traveling.
