The Children's Museum April Field Trip Recap

On April 10th, Fight for Life took a group of 60 students and 10 educators to The Indianapolis Children’s Museum! We were filled with gratitude over the volunteers that showed up from our Board of Directors and our friends at EmployIndy. (Want to volunteer?) We spent hours going to each exhibit in the museum and learning about new things like how to become a paleontologist in the Dinosphere, how to process big feelings with Emotions at Play with Pixar’s Inside Out, and what it feels like to lift weights in outer space with Beyond Spaceship Earth.

Around lunchtime, we enjoyed a meal together of Chick-fil-a sandwiches, chips, and a cookie. Volunteers helped create the ultimate experience for students to feel special. Meals were set out and ready for them, with the option to take leftovers home. There were so many smiles and full bellies!

After lunch, we made our way outside to the Riley Children’s Health Sports Legends Experience where we raced around the track, shot some hoops, and scored some goals. We were so thankful that the rain didn’t interfere! A light sprinkle didn’t stop us from having a blast.
