What Does a Teacher-Influenced 'Ed Tech' Product Look Like?

Hey, you’re looking at it with Building Dreams! 🌟 Our propriety software as a service has been used in schools for the last 3+ years, and we’ve been listening to teachers, school counselors, principals, behavior support staff, and other educators every step of the way!

Whether it’s our behavior management features, social-emotional wellness features, communication features, or our data portal, they continue to be fine tuned through the invaluable feedback we gain from our school partners. After all, we want to have a product that doesn’t just sell; we want a product that truly works.

Fight for Life Foundation prides itself for the way we stay tapped into the pulse of our schools and listen to the concerns, ideas, and suggestions from the awesome educators who use it every day!

Here are a couple of ways we’ve done that this school year:

1. Before, you could only deactivate students who have withdrawn from school or transitioned out of the building one at a time! 😱 This year, we made changes for our school administrators to have the ability to bulk deactivate student users from the platform. This helps schools keep accurate rosters!
2. Before, you could give a Building Dreams action (Sack, First Down, Extra Point, etc.) to an entire classroom; however, teachers weren’t able to individually deselect students on their roster who were absent that day! This year, we made changes to allow teachers to select all or deselect all of their students in their classroom, as well as individually deselect students that are absent from school that day. This ensures that all yards earned or lost are as accurate as possible! 🌟

We stay ‘ears open’ to feedback and will continue to bring educators into the conversation when it comes to technology updates & innovation to make Building Dreams as efficient and user-friendly as possible. They are the experts and know what they need to be successful. We want to remove stuff from teachers’ plates, not add to it! ☝️
